I believe that for me this was a good quarter for english. I acctually enjoyed some of the assignments and managed to keep all my work in the A's and B's, with a couple of C's but only because I still can't wrap my head around the fact that I need to do 15 minutes of vocabulary everyday every other week. For some reason it just doesn't click in and become part of my routine. Other than that, I'd say it was a pretty successful quarter over all.
Greatest Success
My greatest success in English class this quarter was probably my perfomance in the class disussions about our reading of Persepolis, where not only I got the highest grades overall but also i felt I made nice contributions to the discussions that added a bit to everyone's understanding of the book, and some of the other members of the group did the same. And besides, I like talking. but sometimes i think I don't do it really effectively, especially when i need to talk to an audience or adress especific points and keep track of time constraints and what not. So i like any chance i get to practice a bit.
Greatest Challege
I think my greatest challenge this quarter was sticking to what I was supposed to do for each assignment. Countless times did i halfway through an assignments or blog post have to stop and reread the rubric and make several adjustments to my work in order to make it gradeable, not neccesairly better, but what was asked of me. That is something that has been a problem for me for as long as i remember, but it was never really detrimental to my grades, however still something i would like to fix.
Improvements For Next Semester
like I said, I have a bit of trouble sticking to what was asked when writting assignments and i want to work on fixing this during next semester, because it would streamline the entire writting process, and, give me a lot of time that would have otherwise been put towards rewritting and revising towards other things.
